Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon is one of the best mech games we’ve seen in years, and it just might be worth your time to complete it, 100%, for all the gamerscore and trophies it’s worth. If that’s you – or you just want to build the very best mech possible – then you’ll need all the AC parts in the game. The problem is, some of them are hidden.
In this guide we’re breaking down where you can find the 19 chests that contain hidden parts you can find in Armored Core 6. These chests are spread across ten different missions, and we’ve got pictures and detailed instructions on how to find each and every one. With the info in this guide, you’ll be well on your way to earning the Asset Holder and various collector trophies and achievements available in AC6. Just read on for everything you need to know.
While hunting down these chests, you should also seek out combat logs, which you can find with our list of all Battle Log locations.
There are 19 total hidden parts located inside chests in Armored Core 6, and they’re hidden in a select ten missions. All missions – save for one – are accessible from your first playthrough of the game.
Chests are often off the waypointed path and hidden in odd corners that you might not consider exploring – and others are located in plain sight. You should look out for red or orange beacons, as these are sometimes posted near a chest.
In this guide we’ll have detailed instructions on which missions you need to undertake, and each hidden part location in AC6. Remember that you will need to complete the stage after picking up each part, and the final stage will only be available on your third playthrough of the game.
All hidden part chest locations – AC6
Infiltrate Grid 086 hidden part locations – AC6
After fighting “Invincible” Rummy and crossing over to the next door you have to open, drop down from the upper level and instead of heading straight out the door, check behind the tanks to your rear to find the first of four chests in this mission.
The next door you need to open is located in the furnace room. Before opening it, fly through the smoking hot furnace to find a new room – there’s a chest at the bottom surrounded by MTs.
Before you leave the furnace room, go up to the furnace itself and check the pipe that isn’t spewing molten metal. Go inside and follow the path to find a mercenary, Nosaac, along with the chest you need.
Continue through the stage until you take down the heavy Tetrapod MT just before the Sweeper boss fight. Before going through the big RaD door, instead head to the right where you’ll find some unique MTs and a chest.
Tunnel Sabotage hidden part locations – AC6
Once you descend into the area where beams cross the area, go to the highest beam – should be the second you see – and follow it to the left to find a room filled with Light MTs. Head to the back of the room at the top and check the platform near the large machine to find the chest.
Survey the Uninhabited Floating City hidden part locations – AC6
After the first ECM device you access, follow the beacons until you see an oval building on your left with a drone on top. There’s a chest to the rear of this building’s roof.
Eliminate “Honest” Brute hidden part locations – AC6
The first chest is located on the first platform covered in MTs aiming laser sensors. It’s on one of the broken rails sections jutting out from the central pillar.
Once you go through the section with the MTs inside an energy shield, you can find a chest on the floor of the first room you drop through, also filled with laser sensor MTs.
Underground Exploration - Depth 1 hidden part locations – AC6
As you’re dropping down the tunnel shaft, when the partition closes for the first time, search the room for a small entrance with blinking lights outside.
The chest is at the back in here.
Underground Exploration - Depth 2 hidden part locations – AC6
When chasing the heavy machine that shoots lasers, it will shoot one final burst before a blast door slams shut. There are some PCA MTs in the room next to this, along with a chest.
Once you go through the ventilation shaft and up the elevator, the next chest will be directly in front of you, before moving right into the next room.
Underground Exploration - Depth 3 hidden part locations – AC6
Drop down to the first platform that has walls to defend from laser fire. Head to the end of the right side of the platform, and then look over to the next platform on your right. There’s a chest just behind the tanks on the end, which you can also use as cover. Alternatively, you can wipe out the lasers shooting at you first and then make your way over.
And you will need to take out most of those lasers. When you get down to the lower center of the pillar, you can ascend from here to get behind the laser turrets and take them out – they actually don’t have much health at all. Then, head to the beam jutting from the central machine into the walls that’s roughly above your next waypoint – there’s one more chest up here.
Unknown Territory Survey hidden part locations – AC6
The chest is on your left after dropping down a hole around where you’re assaulted by coral slug creatures.
Reach the Coral Convergence hidden part locations – AC6
The first chest here is on the right side of the stage near where you begin – instead of fighting the two target ACs, head right and to the rear to find the chest on a small building.
Next, after you fight the grinder wheel on the bridge, look down and to your left to see a chest surrounded by grinder wheels. You need to fight these grinder wheels for a combat log, but only attempt it if you’ve got a build that’s prepared for them.
Regain Control of the Xylem hidden part locations – AC6
The last two chests are in this stage. The first is easy: as soon as the stage begins, head left and drop down to the lower level. Head right to the end of this passage to find the chest on your right.
When you’re down to the last two parasite modules and head into the final area you’ll be shot at by a laser MT. Immediately turn right, and then left, and you’ll see the final chest of the game on a platform before a drone.
